Journalists aren't citizens.
Just doing a bit of research on the whole idea of "citizen journalism" and came across a post on the J-Log site of minor relevance. Apparently the NUJ have proposed bloggers, people with video phones handy at events of interest, and anyone else who enters the public distribution/debate of news, be known by the more humble term "citizen witnesses" or "witness contributors".Sounds like a case of precious egos to me.
